The Library Board is made up of five residents of the City of Petoskey appointed by the Mayor. There is currently a vacancy on the board for a term ending January 31, 2021. Any city resident who is interested in the position should contact Mayor John Murphy at City Hall, 231-347-2500. The Board is responsible to hire the Director, create policies and oversee the budget. Members serve without compensation.

Library Board Meetings
Meetings are monthly on the fourth Thursday of every month at 5 p.m. except for the November meeting which will be held on Tuesday, November 21. Meetings are held in the lower level classroom in the Main Library at 500 E. Mitchell St. (unless noted below). There is generally not a December meeting. Click on month to view agenda.

April 27 (canceled), May 25, June 22, July 27, August 24, September 28, October 26, November 21 (Tuesday).
