Books That Shaped Work In America

booksthatshapedworklogoIn honor of its Centennial in 2013, the United States Department of Labor, in partnership with the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, is developing a list of Books that Shaped Work in America. Since this is a constantly changing and evolving list, they’re asking you to recommend books that informed you about occupations and careers, and molded your views about work. Chief DOL spokesman Carl Fillichio notes, “The list is a work in progress, just like our nation. The goal of the effort is to spark discussion and engage people from all walks of life in the history, mission and important resources of their Labor Department.”
