Friends Book Chats
Join the Friends of the Library when they host monthly Book Chats. The public is invited to attend Book Chats once a month and share a recently read book or an old favorite. Each individual will be allowed three to 5 minutes to review their book and make comments about the author. The event is open to the public, is on the third Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and there is no charge. There is also no sign-up, and it isn't necessary to attend each month. FRIENDS' BOOK DRIVE 2013
It''s time to clean out those book shelves, load up those gently used books and bring them to the ...FRIENDS' BOOK DRIVE 2013, Saturday, June 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A new way to be a literary hero -- donate your books to the Library! The Friends of the Petoskey Library are collecting quality used books to be used by the Library, or sold to raise money for more Library materials.
Volunteers will be waiting in front of the Library on June 8 to collect your donated books. Receipts will be available. We aske that you do not bring textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader's Digest condensed books, or books in poor condition, as they do not sell.
Don't want to wait till June 8? No problem -- just bring your books to the Library any time during normal hours.
Don't forget, the Friends will host a gigantic used book sale July 26-27 during Sidewalk Sales! Or you can buy used books from the Friends at bargain prices, all year long, in the lower level of the Library.

Friends @ the Carnegie is sponsored by the Petoskey District Library and the Friends of the Library. The programs are offered on the fourth Monday of every month, except December. Admission is always free and the programs are open to the public.~~~~~
