Friends Programs and Events

The Friends of the Library held their 3rd Annual Antique Appraisal Day. Local antiques expert, Joseph McGee - owner of Joseph's World in Petoskey, appraised treasures for $10.00 per item. Individuals brought up to three (3) antiques to this event for appraisal. Proceeds from Antique Appraisal day will benefit Library programs.

FREINDS ANNUAL DINNER MEETING

BAY VIEW COUNTRY CLUB
Mike Fornes, journalist and author, will be the guest speaker. He has written about the Mackinc Bridge and the Coast Guard Cutter stationed in Cheboygan.
The cost is $25.00 per person. More information to follow.

Summer Soiree
The Friends held their first Summer Soiree on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the main library. Nearly $2000 was raised for the purchase of new books.
