A variety of materials from parenting tapes and videos to magazines to Phonics kits are available in the Youth Services Area of the library for parents to use. Copies of the monthly parent newsletter "The Well Centered Child", brochures, book lists and other materials are available in the brochure rack in the Children's Room.

Nonfiction books that deal with differences, death, divorce and other difficult topics also stand ready to assist parents.

Regular programming, story times, and lap sits for parents and families occur all throughout the year.  Check the events calendar for what's happening this week or go to the homepage and click on the enews button to sign up for weekly emails about library events.


A PBS WEB SITE FOR PARENTS AND 5 SITES FOR "TWEENERS"


PBS has a web site dedicated to parents and their needs. It features information on timely topics like raising boys and talking to kids; an activity search tool; and a number of ways to connect to your local station and area caregivers, Booklists, Video clips, Media literacy Resources, a Parent Idea Box, and, even a PBS for Parents Shop.
