Friends' Big Book Sale
It is that time of year the Friends hold their annual Big Book Sale! In addition to the ongoing book sale items, shop bargains saved just for this special Sidewalk Sales event!
Parent Child LapSit Story Time
Parent/Child LapSits and last about 30-45 minutes. Parent or Caregivers need to bring the child and sit together to enjoy developmentally appropriate stories, songs (accompanied by banjo and ukulele); finger plays, flannel board presentations and a weekly visit from Puff the Magic Dragon. These programs are targeted at children 18 months to three years old. Information about parenting, literacy and other family related subjects will be shared periodically during the program. The books, activities, etc will be loosely tied to the summer program them of "Every Hero has a Story."
Due to the developmental needs of this age group, it is preferred that siblings do not attend if at all possible. However, nobody will be turned away if bringing a sibling is the only way for a child to attend. Bringing toys is also discouraged. This is a “drop-in” program and no sign-up is required.
