ROO WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TODAY!  She is working in "Annie" and this make the day too long for her.  Happy Holidays and she will be back in January!

All PAWS activities are held in the Children’s Room.

Readers earn a stamp on a record card for every 15 minutes that they read to one of our dogs. When he/she has earned 4 stamps, they will receive a “Pawsome Reader” tag to wear as a necklace or use as a zipper tag. If readers complete a second card, they a “Pawsome Reader” dog tag.

The theory is, that by reading out loud to the dog, who doesn’t judge how well the child reads, the child’s self consciousness disappears and she gains the confidence needed to become a better reader.
