The Randolph Caldecott Award is bestowed annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, “to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.” Honor books are also recognized.

The Petoskey Public Library maintains a collection of both the Caldecott Winner and Honor books. These are shelved in the Children’s Room and are identified by a “Caldecott” sticker. They may be found in the online catalog by searching for the word “Caldecott.”
