Downtown Construction

PDL understands that the current downtown street construction can cause disruptions to your typical library visits. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to renew your items online or give us a call if you need any assistance. Here is an update from Petoskey Department of Public Works Director Mike Robbins:

Crews will focus their attention to milling off the top layer of pavement on Division Street between Mitchell and Rose streets. Then, crews will mill off the top layer of pavement on Mitchell between Howard Street and Waukazoo Avenue. The sections of Mitchell and Division streets where pavement milling will take place will be closed to through traffic while the work progresses. Although the milling work is expected to be completed today, the section of Mitchell between Howard and Waukazoo will likely be closed for several more days as crews work on concrete replacement and brickwork. At most times after the milling is done, traffic will be able to access Division Street from Mitchell, but there will be intermittent closures. The repaving work will take place sometime late next week, if weather permits. All areas affected by street closures for the project will still be accessible by pedestrian traffic.
