NASA@ My Library

PDL was selected through a competitive application process to be part of NASA@ My Library, an education initiative created to increase and enhance STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) learning opportunities for library patrons throughout the nation. Join us for the kick off on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00pm in the Carnegie Building (451 E Mitchell St) to Explore Our Universe with Michael Cortright, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador. He will present about the James Webb Space Telescope, scheduled to launch this December, and explain how it will help us better understand the universe we live in and how it all started! On Friday, November 5 at 6:00pm on the library’s outdoor labyrinth, Michael Cortright will present Telescopes 101. He will share the history and science behind telescopes and how they help us better understand the universe we live in! He will bring his own telescopes to share with interested attendees. All ages are welcome at both of these programs, registration is not required.
