2020 Census Information

As of June 18, the self-response rate for Emmet County households that responded online, by mail, or by phone was at just 52.5%. The 2020 Census is more than a population count. It is an opportunity to shape your community’s future. When everyone is counted, communities get the funding they need for health care, education, emergency services, libraries, and more. You can inspire others. Tell everyone—your friends and family, neighbors and co-workers—that you will complete the census, and that they should respond now, too!

Households which had not yet responded in mid-to-late April were sent paper questionnaires, and will soon be sent another postcard reminder from the Census Bureau, if they still have not responded. Due to COVID-19, the best response to the census is self-response either online, over the phone, or by mail. Completing the questionnaire only takes about 10 minutes and your response is confidential and secure.
