Petoskey District Library is one of 61 organizations nationwide selected to receive a 2021-2022 NEA Big Read grant. A grant of $5000 will support a community reading program focusing on An American Sunrise by Joy Harjo in March – May 2022. This summer’s #supporttheirstories community read was The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich. If you would still like to participate and complete the 2021 Action Card, please do so! We have plenty of t-shirts left, and the Resource List that accompanies the card can be found here. We had a great turnout for the final panel discussion of this year’s #supporttheirstories community read! A special thank you to Meredith Kennedy, who facilitated all of the discussions, and thank you to all who participated and attended the discussions throughout July and August. We look forward to next summer’s community read!
