Access to Library Materials and Information

In accordance with the Library Bill of Rights, the public’s access to Library materials shall be as unrestricted as possible within practical limits.

Due to the wide variety of child-rearing practices, neither the Board of Trustees nor the Library staff can fairly act in loco parentis concerning the Library’s patrons who are under eighteen. Therefore, the access of children to the adult collection and/or to particular titles in the juvenile collections shall not be restricted. Parental consent for access to digital information will be required when patrons are under 18 years of age.
