Part-time Library Assistant - Adult Services

Love Community, Culture, and Tech? Join Us as a Part-time Library Assistant!

If you are a proactive, tech-savvy, people-person who thrives in an inclusive environment, we want you to join our Adult Services Department. In this regular part-time role (averaging approximately 28 hours per week) you’ll be helping patrons navigate everything from finding their next favorite book to troubleshooting everyday technology, while bringing your own creativity to life by designing quarterly adult programs. If you have exceptional interpersonal skills, a flexible schedule (including evenings and weekends), and a passion for making a meaningful public impact, we’d love to meet you.

Volunteer opportunities

Adults interested in volunteering at the Library should contact the Friends of the Petoskey Library to learn how to become a member.

Volunteens is an opportunity for teens looking to help out or earn community service hours in their library.

Opportunities include:

  • Create social media content
  • Help with programs
  • Tech assistance for seniors
  • Book reviews
  • Help put together craft/STEM kits
