Notary services
Notary Public services are available at no charge during most Petoskey District Library (PDL) open hours, up to 30 minutes before closing. Please have your documents completely filled out, but not signed. Also make sure to have an unexpired government-issued identification that includes your photograph and your signature. Our notaries have the right to refuse this service if they doubt the validity of the document(s) they are being asked to notarize or are uncomfortable with the person or persons signing the document(s).
Due to staff time-constraints, we ask that you only have up to four documents to be notarized a day.
Exclusions:
PDL cannot notarize I-9s and we cannot do Medallion Signature Guarantees.
Note- the Library notaries only have notary stamps, no embossers.
Please call 231-758-3100 for availability.
Proctor exam services
Do you need a proctor for your test? Exam proctoring is available by reservation only.
Please call the Reference Desk at 231-758-3114 to schedule, or email Mary Beauchamp or Mary Hohlbein. This service is available during open Library hours only.
Please read our proctoring guidelines prior to scheduling an appointment.
