Starting November 10: Libby/OverDrive Login Update

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping your library account secure, OverDrive will soon require users to enter a PIN in addition to their library card number. This new security measure will apply when signing in to Libby, the OverDrive digital library website, and Kanopy.

This change will go into effect Tuesday, November 10. 

Q) How do I find my pin? 
A) Your pin was set at the time you received your library card. It is the same 4-digit PIN you use to log in to your library account. If you do not know your pin, you may reset it through your online account. Simply visit your account’s login page and select “Forgot my PIN/Password.” Or, feel free to call staff for further assistance, 231-758-3111.

Q) How often do I need to verify my account? 
A) You’ll be asked to verify your account the next time you sign in. 

Q) What is Libby? 
A) Libby is one of our digital library resources that lets you borrow ebooks, audiobooks and digital magazines using your Petoskey District Library card. If you don’t have Libby yet, you can download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play and get started.
