About the Library

The Petoskey District Library is a Class IV District Library, authorized by the Library of Michigan. The Library district includes the City of Petoskey. The Library also contracts services with the four surrounding townships of Bear Creek, Little Traverse, Resort and Springvale.

As of November 1, 2025, the collection includes 67,649 physical items; 35,155 digital books; 8,222 digital audio books; and 6,331 digital magazines. The library circulated 156,501 items to 8,226 patrons over the last year.
