Facility Manager (Part-Time, Year-Round)
The Petoskey District Library is seeking a proactive and reliable Facility Manager to join our team. This year-round, part-time position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys a mix of hands-on problem-solving and organized administrative oversight.
The Role: In this role, you will ensure our library remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained space for the community. The ideal candidate is a "fixer" at heart—someone who can troubleshoot minor issues while keeping a keen eye on the details of our facility’s operations, with organizational skills to schedule and manage contractors.
What You’ll Bring:

Hands-on Experience: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor facility issues and repairs.

Tech Savvy: A working knowledge of MS Excel for tracking maintenance and schedules.

Self-Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.

Flexibility: While the schedule is generally flexible, the role may require occasional evening or weekend hours to address specific needs.

Summer Teen Intern
If you are interested in libraries and library work, then this is the position for you. The teen intern will work under the supervision of the Teen Service Librarian and will perform duties throughout the different library departments, including assisting with programs, processing items for checkout, and social media content creation.
In order to be considered for the teen intern position, you should be:
- A rising sophomore, junior, senior, or a 2026 graduate;
- Interested in a possible career in library work;
- Able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
