Library of Things

Check out Petoskey District Library's (PDL) Things that you can take home if you are over 18 and have a PDL card in good standing.  Please sign our Library of Things agreement and turn it in at the Reference Desk in order to check out a Thing. All Things must be picked up and returned at the second floor Reference Desk.

TOPO Adventures are self-paced excursions where you have fun exploring, making your own discoveries and learning lots about a place. It’s sort of like a scavenger hunt! Everything you need to create your one-of-a-kind experience is in your adventure kit. Choose from 3 different adventures: All Around Petoskey, Bear River Valley, or Petoskey Waterfront. This makes for an excellent family day or an opportunity to learn new things about the area.

Stream movies and television on one of our Roku sticks. Each stick has different streaming services, such as Apple TV, Netflix, Britbox, and Hulu. Please note: to access Hulu, you must go through Disney+.

Please do not add any apps or attempt to purchase new or additional titles or you will be blocked from borrowing Roku sticks. In addition, you will be fined the amount that was purchased.

If you log in to your Hoopla or Kanopy account, please make sure you log out prior to returning the Roku stick.

A smart TV (HDMI port) and a wireless network are required. Please note: if the Roku remote is not working, try these hacks: (1) Take out the batteries for a moment, then reinsert. (2) Press the "Home" button and the "Back" button at the same time for 10 seconds, and wait for the green light to blink.

Thanks to the generosity of Petoskey's Bearcub Outfitters, the Petoskey District Library (PDL) now has snowshoes to lend with our Library of Things! With their collaboration, PDL cardholders can now come in and borrow snowshoes of every size- from the smallest to the tallest. Come on in and check them out! Place a hold on snowshoes.
