Computers and WiFi

Computers, high-speed internet, and printing services are available at the Petoskey District Library (PDL).

Computers

Computer stations and laptops provide access to the internet and word processing programs. Use a guest pass or your Library card to sign on to the Library computers and laptops. Each session is an hour long with the opportunity to extend your time if there is no one waiting.

Each computer and laptop has the following software and features:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  • Headphone jack
  • Internet access
  • Microsoft Office 2019, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint
  • Printing services
  • USB ports
  • Web browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera
  • Windows 11

Computer / Internet Use Policy & Guidelines

Wi-Fi

The Library offers free wireless internet service within the Library building and outdoors. To connect to the Wi-Fi follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your device's Wi-Fi to see available networks
  2. Select “PDL Public Wireless”
  3. A popup browser will open with our welcome log-in page
  4. Read the page and then tap on the green box “Continue to the Internet”
