Winter Reading

Challenge yourself this winter and take part in Winter Reading! Print or pick up a bingo board from the library and complete your bingo board by February 26, 2021 to be entered into a prize drawing! Any kid who finishes their board will also get a free book just for completing the challenge AND will be entered into the prize drawing.

Winter Reading starts December 1, 2020 and ends February 26, 2021.

Book Stack

Book Stack a stack of books with the number 5 and BOOK STACK at the topis a book recommendation form for kids or grown ups of kids to use. The youth services staff will pick out five titles we think you’ll love and email you the list! You can choose to place the items on hold or come into the library to pick them up. If you need us to put the books on hold, let us know!

Chess Club Online

Petoskey District Library ChessChess club is still happening, but it’s all online! Go to chess.com to connect with Petoskey District Library. Players should be ages 8-18 years old with a Petoskey Library card a grown up’s permission. The library will verify you are a library cardholder and you’ll be on your way to playing chess online!

Please note while Petoskey District Library chess tournaments and play are monitored by the Chess Club, the club is still an internet site and parents/caregivers are responsible for their child’s time on the site.

Visiting the Children’s Room

Normally, the children’s room is a great place for families to read together, play a board game, work on puzzles, and meet new friends. However, due to COVID-19, toys, puzzles, and games are stored away and we ask that visitors social distance.
